For Beginners & Advanced Learners

Jewellery craftsmanship is highly intricate, with design details often changing by millimeters, making illustration a key skill.

The Procreate digital illustration course enhances drawing speed, flexibility, and precision. While digital techniques are valuable, hand-drawing still fosters creativity, and it's recommended for students to explore both digital and hand-drawing methods.

Note: Students should bring their own iPad and Apple Pencil, and pre-purchase the Procreate app. Apple Pencils are available for rent at OYJ Salon for $200 per session.

1. All courses require online booking and payment within 3 days. Classes are small (3-5 people). If needed, salon staff will contact you for date changes.
2. Completed designs can be turned into jewellery, with design and metalworking pricing assistance provided. Fees can be credited toward custom orders.

4. Cancellations within 24 hours before the course will not be refunded.

Olivia Yao 

Through travel, Olivia discovered the world and witnessed its beauty.

Her journeys cultivated an early sensitivity to diverse cultures and designs. While studying economics at National Taiwan University, Olivia spent four years apprenticing in metalworking and earned her certification as a GIA-accredited diamond grader. After graduating, her profound interest in jewellery design led her to pursue a master’s degree in the field at the Birmingham School of Jewellery in the UK.

Before launching her independent brand, Olivia worked for several jewelry design brands in London. Immersed in the fast-paced world of London fashion and influenced by avant-garde art, Olivia seamlessly blended the profound elegance of Chinese artistic heritage into her jewelry creations.

In 2013, she established her eponymous brand, OLIVIA YAO JEWELLERY, dedicated to promoting the concept of "Daily Jewellery." Olivia believes that jewellery should not be reserved solely for once-in-a-lifetime occasions but should instead serve as an extension of personal style. Through her collections and bespoke design workshops, she empowers everyone to discover their dream jewellery pieces.

Teddy Tseng

With over a decade of experience in jewellery design, Teddy holds a master’s degree in metalworking from the prestigious Birmingham School of Jewellery in the UK and is a certified Graduate Gemologist (GIA GG) from the GIA headquarters in California. Teddy has worked in renowned jewellery companies across Taiwan, the United States, and China, specializing in design and development. In 2013, he founded T&C Jewellery, an independent custom jewelry design brand, with the vision of showcasing Taiwanese designers' dedication to craftsmanship and creativity.

Teddy’s design expertise lies in seamlessly integrating traditional hand-drawing techniques with cutting-edge digital tools, including the popular Procreate app. This fusion of creativity and precision ensures a unique approach to jewellery design. Through OYJ’s digital jewellery design courses, Teddy inspires jewellery enthusiasts to broaden their horizons and explore the exciting world of jewellery creation.
